The Bauhinia tree, commonly known as the Orchid Tree, is a medium-sized deciduous to semi-evergreen ornamental tree admired for its spectacular orchid-like flowers. The blooms come in shades of pink, purple, white, or magenta, depending on the species, and appear in abundance during the cooler months, creating a dramatic floral display. The tree typically reaches 6–12 meters in height, with a wide-spreading canopy that provides filtered shade. Its leaves are uniquely shaped, often compared to a camel’s hoof or butterfly wings, giving the tree additional visual interest even when not in bloom.
