The Zigzag Plant growth of the plant makes it look exotic. Unfortunately Zigzag Plant is still a relatively unknown houseplant. The plant belongs to the Spurge family.Devil’s backbone produces small slipper-shaped flowers, where the Latin name Pedilanthus (“Slipper Flower”) comes from.The Pedilanthus tithymaloides prefers enough light and warmth but no direct sunlight. Direct sunlight can be bad for the leaves of the plant. Therefore, place the plant in a spot in the semi shade, for example a few meters from a window on the east or west.Give the Pedilanthus enough water, but also make sure that the soil can dry up between the watering sessions. Too much water will cause root rot.Devils Backbone is a tropical plant, which requires both sunlight and moderate high moisture. If nurtured in a humid environment, it can survive inside at room temperature. Mist the branches and foliage weekly using water from a spray bottle to enhance humidity.For a bushy plant, pinch out the tips of the plant occasionally. Pinching the tips helps encourage thicker growth.
